Information on Becoming a Commissioner

How often does the Commission meet?

Full Commission meets once a month, usually 3rd Monday of the month if it is not a holiday. Commissioners are required to serve on one committee and the frequency of committee meetings vary depending on the committee. However, the committee does not meet more than one (1) time in a month.

Are meetings virtual or in person?

The Commission meets in person every other month. The other months are virtual on Zoom.

What do Commissioners do?

• Attend monthly Commission meetings. We ask Commissioners to try to attend at least 75% of monthly meetings.

• Attend and represent the Commission at Commission sponsored events

• Attend Commission committee meetings. Frequency of committee meetings vary depending on the committee. Meetings are virtual unless there is a need for an in person meeting.

• Attend and represent the Commission at community events.

How do you become a Commissioner?
